Arthroscopy is a method that has deeply changed joint surgery: surgery in large, medium and small joints- are performed with dedicated instruments under visual control through the arthroscope, magnifying optical instrument connected to a camera and through this to a television screen.

Compared to traditional ‘open’ operations, arthroscopy assisted surgery is minimally invasive and  post-op quicker and less painful.

Arthroscopic equipment is expensive, learning curve of the method is steep, but the benefits for the patient fully justify a choice we’ve made more than thirty years ago.
